Dear RightOnCanada.ca Supporter,

I know this is the time of year we take a break to spend time with family, but I hope you will take a moment to help rescue a young Canadian boy from the hell-hole of the Guantanamo Bay prison, where he may have been tortured.Canada is the only Western country with a citizen still detained in the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay.

In 2002, when Omar Khadr was only 15 years old, he was involved in a battle with U.S. forces in Afghanistan. The U.S. military has accused him of throwing the grenade that killed an American soldier. It’s a serious charge, but as a child at the time, Omar is another victim of the “war on terror”.

Australia and Britain have successfully repatriated their citizens from Guantanamo Bay. Why hasn’t Canada?

Please write to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and demand that Canada petition the U.S. government to repatriate Omar Khadr to Canada to be tried fairly.

In solidarity and thanking you,

Kathleen, Peggy, Pauline and Becky for RightOnCanada.ca
